While Hope in Society has been formalised into an incorporated association relatively recently, the organic ministry and relationships far predate this.

Sean served with the Billy Graham Evangelism Association in: Broken Hill, Dalby, Narrabri, Alice Springs and Kalgoorlie-Boulder, helping to run the Will Graham Celebrations. Slide Awake Sydney 2017-2018
The Awake Sydney Evangelistic Prayer Summit, coordinated by Ps Sean Nolan from the Christian Community Churches, was a joint partnership between the listed churches and Christian organisations: Australian Christian Churches, Baptist Union, Christian Community Churches, Churches of Christ, C3 Church, Hillsong Church, Salvation Army, Sydney Adventists, Sydney Anglican, Sydney Presbyterian, Bible Society, Centre for Public Christianity, McCrindle Research, Inspiring Hope. At the Summit the above leader’s prayed for revival and the NSW Premier, presenting her with a Bible donated by the Bible Society and signed by all leaders. Sean was the Sydney Tour Associate for the Australia wide, Graham Tour, in 2018-2019. He recruited and led the Church engagement team under the supervision of the National Director from Charlotte. Sean felt led to bring the network he had developed through Awake Sydney to serve the Graham Tour vision, instead of developing his own undertaking. Sean worked with his denominational colleagues to assist in bringing the Graham Tour vision into harmony with the Sydney missional landscape. Slide Church Planting 2014-2021
Sean and the Hope in Society team have been involved in three, highly evangelistic Church plants, with ran concurrent to the above activities; over a period of 15 years. The most recent being Hope Society Church, which was planted with three people, no money or resources and a whole lot of faith. It has given rise to Hope in Society Ministries and other thriving evangelism ministries.
